Mother + Daughter Chapter
To ensure our on-going commitment to community and our girls, SheLift now has a Mother + Daughter chapter! This chapter is a way for moms and our little ones to stay connected throughout the years to come. Whether you and your daughter have attended a SheLift event in the past, or are interested in joining, the M+D chapter is a great way to make friends, give & get advice and most importantly build life-long friendships.
The Mother + Daughter chapter hosts 2 annual meet ups in different cities across the United States and is lead by Krista Griffin and Heather Hostetter. Krista and Heather attended the first Mother + Daughter retreat to Park City, UT with their daughters Cali and Maddie. Since then, Heather and Krista have remained committed to keeping the girls BFFs for life. Check out the video from their retreat and what they have to say about SheLift below!

Meet the Chapter Presidents
Hi! I’m Krista. I live in Denver, CO with my husband and two daughters. My daughter, Cali, is nine years old and was born with Symbrachydactyly. We have been a part of SheLift from the beginning and we’re very thankful for our SheLift family.
When I’m not Ubering my girls from here to there, I enjoy reading, writing, wine chats with friends, hiking, skiing and yoga. Being outside, especially in the mountains, fuels my soul. I also love spending quality time with my family. I learn something new from my girls every day!
I am very excited to co-lead the SheLift Mother/Daughter Chapter with Heather!
Heather is a mother of two kids. Caleb (7) Maddie (10) and she's been married to her husband for 12 years. Heather was born and raised outside of Chicago, but currently resides with her family in a suburb outside of NYC. Their firstborn, Maddie, was born with amniotic band syndrome which they learned about through their ultrasound. It was a shock, but ever since birth Maddie has been surprising them with how she accomplishes daily tasks with one arm. However, there always seemed to be one thing missing and that was a community of kids who were just like her. Years later, Heather found out about Shelift via facebook and quickly signed up for the mother/daughter retreat which was held in Park city last year. Through that retreat they both made lifelong friends and Maddie has 4 new friends with an arm difference like her. Heather has a heart to continue to connect moms and daughters with limb differences so that others can experience what she and her daughter did-deep rooted friendships that will last a lifetime.
